Aromatherapy is the use of natural flowers and plants essential oil to enhance the health of body and mind. Essential oils are found in flowers, roots, leaves, bark, wood and resins.

The healing practice through the use of essential oils dates back in the history when Hypocrites claimed it as one of the most effective medicine of that time. The first reported case of essential oils based cure even occurred in ancient Egypt, where antiseptic natural properties of unguents were well known.


From Egypt and the Middle East, knowledge of the art of essential oils traveled to Greece, Rome and the Arab world. During the middle ages, alchemists were experts in essential oils extraction and healing formulas preparations.
During the 18th and 19th centuries essential oils continued to represent a major support for the healing system until they were replaced by synthetic drugs. In Europe aromatherapy has been recognized for many years as valuable therapy and it was indeed taught in medical schools.


Clinical studies show that inhaling the aroma of essential oils turns on the entire neuron-endocrine system, the neurological area which intimately affects our deepest emotion. The oils fragrance help re-establish harmony, either in the body’s physiology up to a mental emotional level, balancing our entire personality. That branch of Aromatherapy known as  aroma/cosmetica  uses the power of penetration through the tissues of the essences, to establish beauty treatments that are not limited to the surface of the skin but, to be corrected in a stable cells renewal  process. The therapeutic  properties  of the essential oils in pharmacology are also the foundation of their special and profound action in dermo-cosmetics.
Essential oils perform the function of stimulating the exhausted tissues, promote cell renewal and maintain constant the level of purification. The best results are obtained with blends of essential oils that work synergy with  oils or creams or emulsions and extractions. There is a growing public seeking natural products but it is difficult to discern among the many so called “ natural” “organic” brands. There is a lot of confusion and I feel is important for me to be distinguished by that type of categories because, regardless of their claim, in reality most cosmetic company uses the same commercial bases as everyone else, synthetic or “reconstructed” essential oils and inert row ingredients. So far ERBE has been recognized as the only brand reflecting the Authentic Italian Beauty Culture and our plan is try to pursue this concept with integrity and innovations.

Combined to modern cosmetics development techniques,our manufacturing procedure still sticks to those three traditional principles;

 1) MACERATION;

Parts of the fresh plant are placed in an airtight container and covered with almond oil or other base oils for 30 days

2) FILTERING AND SCREENING;

After this period the oil is filtered and transferred into another container and skips to the pressing plant mixed with oil that contains most of the functional substances in the plant itself. Two more days of resting, then a second screening and other purifying processes occur  before the oil, filtered and pure, is ready for distillation.

3)DISTILLED;

Essential oils are obtained by steam distillation. The pressurized steam is introduced into the lower part of the distiller and passes through the plant parts or oil to vaporize the volatile oils contained in them.  It is a method that applies to most of the aromatic plants and exploits the physical properties of essences, in particular their volatility.It is to separate the essential oil from the plant origin using a jet of water vapor, which invests plant tissues and "carries" the essence. From the process you get two final products: the distillate and the aromatic water. This is the water that comes from the condensation of the same steam, scented by a small fraction of essence dissolved in it.
